    Family Involvement

When issues linger for a period, it impacts the individual and their relationships. Every family is unique. And I believe families have strengths and resources to help them resolve problems. As a psychotherapist, I believe, and research shows,

that families who work together in therapy have better success. Consequently, a question that I ask each family member is, what is your desired outcome? If therapy was even a little bit successful, what would be different? And how would you respond differently?

Your answers are fundamental to treatment. It is from there that I can help families like yours identify exceptions to the problem, strengths, and resources within them that allow them to achieve the outcomes they desire.

    Treating Anxiety

Anxiety can feel unmanageable and like it has taken over you or your loved one’s life. While that might be true in this moment, it doesn’t have to define your future. Anxiety-related disorders are treatable.

I provide a specialized treatment approach for adults, adolescents, and children dealing with anxiety symptoms. From the start, I work with you and your family to describe what treatment success will look like, consider times when you have had a bit of that success in the past, how you were able to do it, and help you to identify and create a path that moves closer to your treatment goal.

    Grief Therapy

Losing a loved one is hard. Living life without that person may feel incomprehensible. Figuring out your next step alone does not have to happen. As a Solution-Focused Brief Therapist, I will work with you to identify and describe a way forward that is just right for you.

"What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." - Helen Keller

    Mood Disorders

Depression spectrum disorders can be marked by unexplained sadness, anger, loss of interest in socializing and/or activities, difficulty sleeping, and increased or decreased appetite. Depression-related symptoms are treatable.

Using a Solution-Focused Brief Therapy lens

means I help you identify a path forward despite those depression symptoms. Symptoms not only impact you, but they also impact your relationships. Treatment focuses on your strengths, exceptions to those symptoms, your desired outcome, and how your relationships will be affected as you reach your goals.
